UNESCO designates new World Artist for Peace

Sir Georg Solti's crusading organisation World Orchestra for Peace has been designated a UNESCO World Artist for Peace. In a letter announcing the decision, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova said, 'The orchestra "symbolizes so well the multicultural and ethnically diverse world that we live in today.
